Pilgrimage to Portugal, Spain and France

For 11 days in April, seven St. Francis Xavier parishioners along with Fr. That Son and 12 other people became pilgrims on a journey through Portugal, Spain and France.  This pilgrimage was an inspirational tour of religious sites where we walked the paths of many saints, prayed in medieval churches and at sites where the Blessed Mother appeared and deepened our faith through every experience. We prayed in the same church where St. Francis Xavier prayed.  We prayed at the crypt of St. James the Apostle.  We celebrated mass at the home of St. Ignatius Loyola.  We visited Fatima and Lourdes.  We West Virginia pilgrims also walked a section of the Camino Way – the same path that pilgrims have traveled for hundreds of years.  We have been blessed by these an many other opportunities and we thank Fr. That Son for making this pilgrimage possible.
